  1. Chronic Pain Self-Management Workshop

    Do you suffer from chronic pain? Learn how to ease your symptoms through stress management, exercise and nutrition. The 2 ½ hour classes will also feature how to get a good night’s sleep and how to deal with depression. Huntsville Public Library will host a series of six classes starting at 1 p.m. on Mondays from January 14 to February 25. The classes are sponsored by Texas A&M Center for Population, Health, and Aging and the Houston-Galveston Area Agency on Aging. The workshops are free and limited to 16 participants.     The Huntsville Public Library is pleased to announce an opportunity for genealogy enthusiasts and newcomers alike to meet with experienced and qualified genealogical researchers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. One-hour sessions will be offered weekly on Thursdays. Sessions will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Attendance will be limited to no more than four researchers. The small group will allow each participant to receive individual attention. Sign-up is not required. This program is for adults 17 and older.

The workshop will be held from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month. The next class will be on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Develop the skill sets needed for online genealogical research. Learn how to navigate the different learning centers and databases.
